For volunteer & school-age coaches
Practice, run on the clock.
Build a practice from timed blocks, check it before you get to the gym, then let Blockhorn run it: a big countdown, what’s next, and a horn when it’s time to move. Running late? One tap fits the rest of practice to the time you have left.

One practice, one bar
See the whole practice before anyone laces up.
Every block has a kind, a focus and minutes. Blockhorn lays them on one timeline with real clock times and tells you plainly what doesn’t add up.
90-minute basketball practice
6:00 PM – 7:30 PM · 90 min- Warm-up / cool-down
- Skill work
- Drill
- Game-like
- Water break
- Coach talk
- Fits exactly: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
- Water breaks keep to your rule (at least every 25 min of active time).
- Game-like minutes: 27 of 90 (30%). Coach talk: 6%.
How it works
Build it. Check it. Run it.
Build
Pick the sport, the start time and how long you have the gym or field. Add blocks: warm-up, skill work, drills, small-sided games, stations, water breaks, a short talk, cool-down.
Check
Blockhorn adds it up with real clock times: over time or minutes spare, the longest stretch without water against your own rule, how much is talk, and the minutes each skill gets.
Run
Open the live clock on a phone, tablet or laptop. It counts down each block, shows what’s next and sounds the horn. Late start? Fit the rest of practice to the time that’s left.
The live clock
The horn does the whistling.
Put the screen where the team can see it. You coach; the clock keeps time.
- One huge countdownReadable across a gym. The last minute turns magenta and chirps.
- A horn between blocksMade in the browser, no download. Mute it any time.
- Fit-to-timeStarted 6 minutes late? The blocks still to come shrink in proportion; water breaks keep their length.
- Stations that rotate on the hornGroups A to D move to the next station when the horn sounds; the screen shows who goes where.
Stations
Small groups, every station, nobody standing around.
Split the team into groups A to D. Each horn moves every group to the next station. Blockhorn shows the rotation on screen and on the printed card. Groups are letters: no names, ever.
| Round | First touch | Passing | Dribbling |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0–5 min | A | B | C |
| 5–10 | C | A | B |
| 10–15 | B | C | A |

Questions
Plain answers.
Is this the Garfield Heights Bulldogs’ site or a game stream?
No. Blockhorn is an independent practice planner for any coach on any team. It is not run by or affiliated with Garfield Heights City Schools, its teams or boosters, and it does not stream, show or report games. The school district’s own site is garfieldheightscityschools.com.
Do I need an account?
No. Plans live in their own link. If you want to keep plans and log practices, start a Practice Book: its private link is the key. There is no sign-up, password or email.
Do I type in players’ names?
Never. Every choice comes from fixed lists (sport, kind of block, focus, minutes). Stations use group letters A to D. Blockhorn has no box to type a name into.
Is the water-break rule medical advice?
No. It is your own rule (every 10 to 30 minutes of active time, or off) and Blockhorn only checks the plan against it. Follow your league’s and school’s heat and hydration rules.
What happens when the preview ends?
Prices are shown exactly as they will be charged. Until payments open, everything in the Practice Pass is free and nothing is charged. When payments open, the free plan stays free.
